Nagaoka has developed its business primarily through the manufacture and sale of audio accessories, including record styluses. Thanks to your support, we have reached our 85th year since our founding as an audio equipment manufacturer.

We sincerely thank everyone, as this achievement would not have been possible without your support. We have an integrated manufacturing system for bonded diamond tips used in record styluses and boast a high market share in the industry.

To commemorate our 85th anniversary, following the newly released MP-type cartridge “MP-700” and the Analog Grand Prix 2025 award-winning cartridge “MP-MONO,” launched in May 2024, we will release the “MP-MONO 1.0E” cartridge equipped with the long-requested 1.0 mil replacement stylus (JN-PMONO 1.0E) on September 26, 2025.

*The 1.0 mil stylus-size replacement stylus “JN-PMONO 1.0E” is installed as standard on this product; the 0.7 mil replacement stylus “JN-PMONO 0.7E” is not included.

In addition, we will simultaneously release two SP replacement styluses with different tip sizes, “JN-PSP 3.0” and “JN-PSP 3.5,” enabling SP records to be played using the MP-MONO cartridge body. Their stylus tip sizes are 3.0 mil and 3.5 mil, respectively.

Our representative product, the “Nagaoka MP Series (Moving Permalloy),” uses a lightweight piece of iron (permalloy) attached to the cantilever, compared with the conventional MM type (Moving Magnet), increasing the stylus’s freedom of movement and enabling wide-bandwidth, delicate sound reproduction.

We offer an extensive lineup ranging from high-end to entry-level models.

To bring out the powerful sound image and atmosphere of monaural records to the fullest, we recommend playback with a cartridge dedicated to monaural and SP reproduction.

The “MP-MONO 1.0E” is designed with particular attention to the soundstage and atmosphere of the era, pursuing a more authentic monaural experience through the use of a 1.0 mil stylus.

The SP replacement stylus “JN-PSP 3.0” delivers high-fidelity reproduction that paints a vivid scene, while “JN-PSP 3.5” produces a warm sound that evokes the era.
