Diamond and Gemstone Processing
As Japan's only manufacturer of diamond record styli, we continue to meet the enduring demand of audio enthusiasts.
Diamond is bonded to various metals in a vacuum brazing furnace and then polished into conical or pyramidal shapes.
This processing technology is also applied to contact styli (terminals for precision measuring instruments) and specialized diamond tools.
Our bonding technology in particular can withstand a load of approximately 500 grams on a joint surface measuring just 0.1 square millimeters.
We also provide precision polishing and micro-processing of gemstones such as sapphire and ruby.

NAGAOKA's advanced technical expertise is also applied to specialized components such as styli for measuring shape and surface roughness.
Even for one-off custom orders, we build processing machinery in-house as needed and accurately accommodate specially shaped styli.
