Probe Pins and Other Special-Material Processing
Our tungsten probes for IC testers have earned a strong reputation for their high quality. Specialized processing of various ceramics is another field in which demand is expected to grow. At NAGAOKA, our specialized technical staff respond to increasingly diverse orders by designing and building the required processing machinery in-house for each project. This integrated system enables the high-mix production of even more precise components at low cost and with short lead times.
Probe Pins
Probe pins used to test LSIs are formed into a tapered shape that becomes progressively finer toward the tip, allowing them to be mounted at high density in inspection equipment. Compared with conventional electrolytic polishing, our process produces pins with superior taper-angle accuracy and straightness. As LSIs have become more densely integrated, we now process probe pins with wire diameters of less than 0.1 mm. Tip diameter and taper angle can also be specified freely to suit the intended application.
